Adnan Osman Shanaz is a film director and writer with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in cinema. He has authored several books, including My Screenplays (Part One) and The Story of Cinema, and serves as the editor-in-chief of Cinema Kurdika newspaper. He has directed 15 short films and three feature films, including The Triangle of Death and The Kingdom of Ants. Adnan has received numerous awards, such as Best Director at the Babylon International Film Festival and a Jury Award at the Baghdad International Film Festival. He has participated in various international festivals, including the Kolkata International Film Festival in India and the Cairo International Film Festival. Currently, he holds key roles as the head of juries and film selection committees in several film festivals. He is also preparing for his fourth feature film in the fall of 2024.
