“I Will Wait” tells the story of “Suhailah,” a young mother who has to leave her baby with her neighbors every day in order to work and earn a living, while her husband is away fighting in the war. Over time, the neighbors become upset with the baby and refuse to continue taking care of him. Suhailah must find a way to ensure her baby’s safety while continuing to work until her husband returns from the war.
The performance of Rozhan Hamajaza in the role of “Suhailah” was deeply moving, as she brilliantly conveyed feelings of fear, patience, and resistance amidst harsh life circumstances.
