Zanyar Ali is a Kurdish-Syrian director, editor, and visual storyteller based in France whose artistic experience emerged from documentary image-making, conflict-zone media production, and independent visual storytelling shaped by the realities of war, displacement, and contemporary Syrian life.
He began his media career in Aleppo between 2012 and 2014 as part of the Aleppo Media Center, where he worked on filming and editing news reports, documentaries, and visual coverage connected to the Syrian conflict. His experience during those years developed within fast-changing and high-pressure environments that demanded both technical precision and visual sensitivity.

He also directed and filmed the Syrian web-series Banned in Syria and contributed to documentary productions connected to Al Jazeera and other regional media platforms between 2016 and 2018.
