Weciha Abdulrahman Saeed is a Kurdish-Syrian writer, novelist, and poet based in Germany, whose literary career spans novels, short stories, poetry, and theater. She has published several novels and short-story collections, some of which have been translated into Kurdish, French, and English, and has received several literary awards while participating in cultural and literary festivals across Syria, Kurdistan, Europe, and the Arab world.
Her work reflects a strong interest in narrative, memory, identity, and character development, bringing a literary and human-centered perspective to the reading of cinematic works.
At the 7th edition of the Kobani International Film Festival 2026, Weciha Abdulrahman Saeed serves as a Selection Committee Member – Narrative Films Section, contributing her experience in literature, storytelling, and dramatic structure.
