Ayham Salman is a Syrian director, screenwriter, and actor whose artistic experience spans directing, writing, acting, theater, and voice performance, across a career developed between Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, and Canada.
He began his filmmaking journey by writing and directing the short film Sharshaf in 2008, followed by Vicious Circle in 2012. His work later expanded into documentary filmmaking with Second Wife (2018), which he directed and produced in collaboration with ARIJ in Jordan. He is currently developing two new film projects, Exit Wound and Mes Amis Syriens.
As a screenwriter, Salman worked on the television series The Crow Lesson in 2025 and contributed as a storyliner and screenwriter to MBC’s Exceptional in 2022, alongside writing his own film projects.
Salman also has extensive experience as a performer, appearing in numerous Syrian and Arab television productions and in several stage productions with the Syrian National Theater. His work further extends to dubbing, voice acting, and podcast productions across different Arab and international projects.
Alongside his creative practice, he has contributed to film education and training, leading a filmmaking workshop in Montreal in 2025 and storytelling workshops in Beirut in 2018, adding an educational dimension to his experience in visual and narrative storytelling.
At the 7th edition of the Kobani International Film Festival 2026, Ayham Salman serves as a Selection Committee Member – Narrative Films Section, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective shaped by directing, screenwriting, performance, and filmmaking.
