Adeeb Alhariry is a multimedia artist and visual storyteller based in Toronto, Canada, with more than ten years of professional experience in visual design, video editing, motion graphics, and digital storytelling. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University, graduating in 2013.
His artistic practice spans illustration, experimental animation, motion graphics, character design, mixed-media drawing, and visual storytelling. His work often explores themes of memory, identity, displacement, and absence, transforming personal experiences and human testimonies into visual narratives.
Among his animation works is 180 Degrees, a silent experimental short film developed as his graduation project at Damascus University. The film explores perception and perspective through a character whose understanding of reality changes when he begins to see the world differently.
His professional experience includes working as a multimedia designer with the ISIS Prisons Museum and The Day After Organization, as well as several years of video editing and visual content production for media platforms. His work combines animation and design with documentary and socially engaged storytelling.
At the Kobani International Film Festival, Adeeb Alhariry serves as a Selection Committee Member – Animation Films Section, contributing his experience in animation, visual storytelling, motion graphics, and character design.
