Abdullah Eldesuki is a Syrian-Turkish artist, animation director, and character designer with more than twenty years of experience in animation and visual design. His professional career has developed across Damascus, Dubai, Ankara, and Doha, encompassing animation direction, character design, storyboarding, and 2D animation.

He studied Visual Communication at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Damascus University from 2003 to 2007. He began his professional career in design and animation in Damascus, working with several studios and production companies, including Spacetoon, before continuing his career with production studios in the UAE, Türkiye, and Qatar.

Eldesuki spent more than seven years at Blink Studios in Dubai as a Storyboard Supervisor, Character Designer, and 2D Animator. He later worked as Animation Director at Toucan Group in Ankara, before joining Core Studios in Doha, where he worked from 2017 to 2024 as Animation Director, Storyboard Artist, and Character Designer.

Alongside his professional work, he has directed and designed animated short films presented at international festivals. His film Fastaqim was screened at the Aakruti International Film Festival in Mumbai and Festival Cinema Invisible in New York. His artistic practice also extends to painting and caricature, with participation in solo and group exhibitions in Syria and Türkiye.

His experience brings together drawing, visual composition, character design, movement, and image-based storytelling, providing him with an extensive understanding of the artistic and technical language of animation.

At the 7th edition of the Kobani International Film Festival 2026, Abdullah Eldesuki serves as a Selection Committee Member – Animation Films Section, contributing his extensive experience in animation direction, character design, storyboarding, and visual storytelling.
