Baraa Slebi is a Syrian media professional, producer, and content development specialist with more than twenty years of experience in radio and media, alongside around eight years of specialized experience in podcast production and development. Her professional background spans content production, radio directing, media management, training, and team leadership.

She began her media career in Syria before developing a diverse professional path across the region. Her experience includes working as an editor and presenter, serving as Programs Manager for UNDP Web Radio, and later working with Ajman TV and Radio and Alaan FM in Dubai, where she served as Radio Manager from 2017 to 2020.

In recent years, her work has increasingly focused on audio storytelling and podcast production. She has collaborated with organizations and initiatives including Rozana Media, Dawlaty, EuroMed Feminist Initiative, and the Syrian Feminist Lobby, producing projects addressing humanitarian and social issues, violence against women, political participation, and Syrian experiences. She also co-founded Audionality, where she leads content development and supervises original audio productions.

Alongside her professional work, she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Arts and Culture Management at Rome Business School and works as a trainer and consultant supporting journalists, activists, and content creators.

Her extensive experience in journalism, production, audio storytelling, and human-centered subjects brings a perspective grounded in narrative, character, and social context — elements closely connected to documentary storytelling.

At the 7th edition of the Kobani International Film Festival 2026, Baraa Slebi serves as a Selection Committee Member – Documentary Films Section, contributing her experience in media, production, content development, and human-centered storytelling.
