Nivin Baranbo is a Syrian actress, theater performer, and media presenter based in the Netherlands. Her artistic experience moves between contemporary theater, performance art, cinema, and media work, combining stage presence with cultural and human-centered storytelling.
She studied Journalism and Media at Damascus University before continuing her artistic education in Fine Arts at the American University of Beirut. Later, she specialized in theater studies at the ZID Theater Academy in Amsterdam, where she developed her work within contemporary European performance spaces.

Her artistic activities expanded across theater productions and performance-based projects in the Netherlands and Spain, where she participated in several independent stage performances and contemporary theater productions. She also developed solo performance projects centered on physical expression and modern theatrical storytelling.
In cinema and television, she participated in a short film that received recognition at the Berlin Short Film Festival in 2022, and later appeared in the Syrian television series Smile, General in 2023 in a leading role.
Her artistic approach combines theater, media, and performance art with a strong focus on voice, physical presence, and emotionally driven storytelling across different cultural environments between the Middle East and Europe.
At the 4th edition of the Kobani International Film Festival 2023, Nivin Baranbo participated as a member of the Narrative Films Selection Committee, contributing a perspective shaped by contemporary theater, cinema, and independent cultural work.
