Adnan Osman is a Kurdish filmmaker, screenwriter, and cinematographer from Kurdistan-Iraq, recognized as one of the prominent voices of independent Kurdish cinema through a long artistic journey that combines directing, cinematography, screenwriting, television, and cultural production.
He studied film directing at the College of Fine Arts at Salahaddin University before becoming active across cinema, television, cultural journalism, and film criticism. Alongside his filmmaking career, he also worked for several years as a cinema instructor at the College of Fine Arts, contributing to the development of young cinematic talents and independent visual storytelling.

At the 4th edition of the Kobani International Film Festival 2023, Adnan Osman served as Head of the Selection & Preliminary Evaluation Committee, supervising the viewing and selection process across the festival’s different sections during one of the festival’s largest and most diverse editions.
