Eddy Sanchez

Renowned former Marine

Eddy Sanchez is an American independent producer and writer whose artistic work moves between cinematic storytelling, psychological fiction, and suspense-driven narratives. Coming from a former background in the United States Marine Corps, Sanchez later transitioned into creative production and writing, developing his artistic identity within independent cinema and contemporary literary storytelling.

He became known through his work as co-producer of the feature film In Fidelity, where he collaborated with several recognized figures from American film and television, including actor Chris Parnell from Saturday Night Live (SNL). The project explored emotional relationships and psychological tension through a character-driven dramatic structure.

Alongside his cinematic work, Sanchez is also developing his debut literary project, The Diary of Kate the Ripper, a psychological crime novel that reimagines the legacy of “Jack the Ripper” through a contemporary and suspense-oriented narrative approach.

His artistic interests focus on psychologically layered characters, dark identities, and emotional transformation, often blending dramatic tension with introspective storytelling and human complexity.

As a Jury Member of the 5th edition of the Kobani International Film Festival 2024 — the Taha Karimi Edition, held under the theme “A Journey Through World Cultures” — Sanchez brings a perspective shaped by the intersection of literature, cinema, and psychological storytelling, contributing to the festival’s vision of culturally diverse and human-centered cinematic experiences.
